Sample Sewer

We are Careismatic Brands Inc., the global leader in medical apparel, footwear, and accessories. We have an outstanding opportunity for a Sample Sewer to sew samples for fittings and work closely with pattern maker to make corrections.

This is a full-time role based in our corporate office in Chatsworth, CA.

Salary Range: $17-$18/hr

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
• Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs.

What Your Day Looks Like
• Sewing samples for fitting
• Work closely with pattern maker & communicate everyday on if sample is easy, or difficult, or production friendly, to sew.
• Knowledge of all machines used to make sample.
• Ability to read a tech-pk for construction & bill of materials & trims.
• Provide vital information to pattern maker . Must let pattern maker know if she must change pattern to make sewing easier.

What We’re Looking For
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Able to use all sewing machines (single needle, multi needle, cover stitch, bar-tack, buttonhole, overlock
• Will need to take a test by sewing 1 garment in house
