Técnico de Taller de Metal
Wiseman Studio es un estudio artístico multifacético y de gran actividad, ubicado en Frogtown. Trabajando con bronce, cerámica y otros medios diversos, el estudio crea intrincadas instalaciones *site-specific* (específicas para el lugar), mobiliario, luminarias y objetos. El estudio busca ampliar su equipo para incorporar a un profesional de metal.
Responsabilidades:
• Gestionar el taller de metal, la fundición, y el mantenimiento y reparaciones del estudio y la galería:
programar tareas y actuar como persona de contacto principal para los trabajadores de
mantenimiento; llevar un registro del mantenimiento programado regularmente de las instalaciones y
herramientas; y brindar soporte técnico y de mantenimiento básico.
• Asistir en la comunicación de la nómina y la programación de horarios del personal del taller de metal.
• Manejo e instalación básica de obras de arte.
• Gestiones y recados generales del estudio.
• Asistir durante los días de sesiones fotográficas, incluyendo el montaje, desmontaje, etc.
• Organizar el espacio del estudio y mantener los sistemas y estaciones de trabajo.
• Realizar pedidos y mantener el inventario de materiales y suministros.
• Mantener los sistemas de inventario de materiales.
• Investigar y adquirir piezas y equipos.
• Realizar algunos trabajos de fundición y/o fabricación de metal.
Requisitos:
• Se requiere un mínimo de 2 años de experiencia laboral en un entorno de taller de metal o estudio
artístico.
• Se requiere ser bilingüe (inglés/español), o tener la capacidad de comprender y hablar español a un
nivel profesional.
• Demostrar una comunicación efectiva, precisa y clara con contratistas, colegas y supervisores.
• Es ideal contar con experiencia en construcción básica, fabricación general y el uso de herramientas
relacionadas.
• Es indispensable tener conocimientos específicos de soldadura y fabricación de metal. Se requiere
experiencia en fundición y trabajo con bronce.
• Ser una persona organizada y orientada a los detalles, con interés en mantener y crear sistemas de
trabajo.
• Debe tener la capacidad de colaborar eficazmente con otras personas.
• Debe ser una persona automotivada, con capacidad para aprender rápidamente.
• Poseer una licencia de conducir válida y un vehículo confiable para desplazarse a visitar proveedores
y distribuidores en la zona (se reembolsan los gastos de kilometraje).
• Capacidad para gestionar prioridades múltiples y cambiantes, siendo capaz de reajustar las
prioridades con poca antelación.
• Actitud positiva y buen sentido del humor.
Puesto a tiempo completo con beneficios. El salario será acorde a la experiencia. Periodo de prueba de 90
días. Rango salarial: $30-40/hr
